left, Nebraska - Location: 41:21:41N 95:56:45W Currently the site
of Florence, Nebraska, Winter Quarters was settled in September,
1846 as a temporary resting place for the pioneers. It is located
just west of the Missouri river in Nebraska.
Summary: Guns still being cleaned; Ox
mill now in progress in the north part of town.
Journal entry: Thursday Jan 27th 1848.
At the guns yet which will be continued until completed.
Went to the Church; ox mill now in progress in the North part
of town. I do not think much of the plan.
