was settled in September, 1846 as a temporary resting place for
the pioneers. It is located just west of the Missouri river in Nebraska.
Summary: The day spent in Council.
Journal entry: Friday Jan 7th 1848. Went
to Council at ten. No business of importance. Occupied my time as
usual.
