Jeffrey City was like a ghost town. I neither saw many people,
nor any stores. When I asked a man, "Are there any stores which
sell domestic articles?," he said "No" instantly. I wondered if
Jeffrey City was on the map. Although I felt it was a secluded place,
I was glad to be here, because we could take a shower for the first
time in a week. We were allowed to take a shower at a local school
which was also located in a secluded place.
Because I let my laundry pile up for a week, I went looking for
a Laundromat, however there wasn't a place to do laundry in the
whole city. I found somebody who was willing to take me to a nearby
city by car, so I asked him to take me there, and we went. We drove
30 minutes, then an hour, but still didn't reach it. We couldn't
believe that the nearest Laundromat was 60 miles away. Anyway, I
could wash, take in a show, and eat a hamburger in the city which
was 60 miles away. Another week when we cannot take a shower or
wash is coming again.
