Brigham Young Journals
July 18, 1847
Summary: Planning ahead for planting
crops.
Journal entry: Sunday. Spent the day
in prayer for the recovery of the sick and partook of the Sacrament.
Afternoon, I proposed that the Camp proceed to make their way over
the mountains, and when a suitable location was found, plant potatoes
and corn. The proposition was approved.
Elders Kimball, Woodruff, Benson and a few others concluded to
remain with me.
