of Florence, Nebraska, Winter Quarters was settled in September,
1846 as a temporary resting place for the pioneers. It is located
just west of the Missouri river in Nebraska.
Summary: Brethren Stout spends day writing.
Journal entry: Monday Jan 3rd 1848. N.
wind. very cold day. Mostly at home writing.
Police met at dark at Cox Shop. Hoaxed Martindale for wearing the
Crown of Baalam.
