February 6, 1848
Summary: Stout is presented with charge
for abusive conduct in regards to speech given to council.
Journal entry: Sunday Feb. 6th 1848.
I was around town today. President Isaac Morley wanted me to assist
him in putting his Emmegration Co. together, which I undertook.
Today I was presented by Pres Joseph Young with a charge against
me by John Pack for abuse &conduct in the speech I made in the Council
last Saturday in the case of the whiskey. While Prest H. Kimball
and the Presiding officer were present,.he did not call him to order,
but being completely repulsed, he flew to the Seventies to gratify
his disappointed feelings.
