Summary: Brethren Jones' trial was held
to resolve his unlawful living with Rosanna Cox.
Journal entry: Satur Feb. 26th 1848.
Last evening Daniel Russel had a party, which was the first of many
that he has had this winter, that was in order. Council met at ten.
Benj Jones' case was held today in which he refered himself for
living with Rosanna Cox unlawfully. After some inquiries of Allen
and myself were made on the subject of the reasons for which had
parted him and our sister Anna , he was forgiven. He was very penetent.
It was decided that Preist Young would seal him & Rosanna, leaving
him and -Anna to settle their own difficulties, which they did.
The Boys' ball came tonight, which included many who did not clean
any guns and intruded on the boys. They were named out and ordered
off by Geo D Grant and the Boys rights were mantained. There were
27 guns cleaned today on the dancing order. Tonight I was around
on guard late with F. Gardner.
