Location: Salt Lake Valley (the right place), Utah - The end destination for the trek across the plains.

Summary: Pioneers organize companies for the trek back to Winter Quarters.

Journal entry:SUNDAY 15TH. President Young preached on the death of little children, etc. That evening the company compositioned those who are returning with the ox teams and voted that Shadrach Roundy and Tunis Rappleyee be captains. They received instructions to start tomorrow and travel leisurely to Grand Island and there wait for the last company of horse teams. J.C. Little and company returned yesterday from Utah Lake and this morning the exploring company returned.
