June 16, 1853
Summary: From a letter to Richard Eatough covering the Armitstead journey between May 26 and June 29, 1853.
Journal entry: This afternoon encamped on the bottom of the Missouri River, about 3 miles from Kanesville. The river is very high, the bottoms in many places are covered with water, the road to the ferries are impassable.
