February 27, 1848

Summary: A police meeting was held in the council house.

Journal entry: Sund Feb 27th 1848. Fine clear warm morning. Around all day. Gardner, Thos Rich, Carns & Calkins had a police meeting at the Council house in the evening. Here W. P. Mclntire was taken into the Police. They decided to have only two tours of duty each night & have more police out at once.
