Summary: Letters back to Winter Quarters.
Journal entry: Tuesday. The company traveled eleven miles. Found the prairie on fire around the camp.
A mail of 54 letters was made up and sent to Winter Quarters by W. Charles Beaumont, a trader who was going to Council Bluffs.
Beaumont reported that there was a good road on the south side of the river, and that the feed was better.
