August 25, 1847

Location: Salt Lake Valley (the right place), Utah - The end destination for the trek across the plains.

Summary: The Pioneers camp on Green River.

Journal entry: WEDNESDAY, 25TH. We traveled today twenty - three miles and camped on Green River. We found several places where the road is shortened some, but it is yet about sixteen miles from water to water.
