February 17, 1848

Summary: Stout receives paper from the City of Washington. Still not feeling well.

Journal entry: Thurs Feb. 17th 1848. Settled Meeks picket guard tax even though he was unwilling to come to a settlement. Received a paper from the City of Washington today and mail on Friday, Feb. 18th, 1848. Rained last night & wet morning. Wind was from the S. E., then it cleared off. Around town as usual. Was not feeling well today.
